The 2014 Saint Aubin 1er Cru Cuvée de Paradis, which is a blend of two vineyards, has a pleasant dark cherry and cranberry leaf-scented bouquet. The palate felt a little compact, tightly wound at the moment with broody dark fruit; a forthcoming racking will allow the finish to open up. This feels a little brittle and skinny-boned, but I suspect that it will flesh out by the time of bottling.
