Blackberries and cassis can be found in the aromatics of the 2000 Les Milleres Cotes du Roussillon-Villages. The wine is medium-bodied, intense, and concentrated. It is a chewy-textured effort with a backward, rustic, tar-infused core of black fruits. My score will appear conservative if aging civilizes this brooding wine. Projected maturity: 2004-2009.
