The 2006 Falerno del Massico Rosso is a marvelous red endowed with tons of personality. This blend of Aglianico and Piedirosso flows from the glass with juicy red berries, dried flowers, minerals, ash, smoke and heady truffles. Deceptively medium in body, the wine offers gorgeous richness and depth in its fruit, along with a round, caressing finish. It is a fabulous wine for the money. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2016.
