The 2009 SBS is a stainless steel fermented and aged blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. Light straw-colored, it offers up aromas of lemon-lime, spring flowers, and mineral notes. Crisp and slightly tart on the palate with elevated acidity that clips the finish a bit, it is meant for drinking over the next 12-18 months. Cadaretta’s wines are currently made at a custom crush facility from purchased fruit as the winery waits for its recently planted estate vineyards to come on line. An Aussie-style blend of 78% Sauvignon Blanc and 22% Semillon. It’s been a real success for Cadaretta, and this is in the same mold as previous efforts.
