The 2009 Palacio de Villachica Seleccion comes from 50 years old vines and is matured in new French oak for 18 months. The nose is light and floral, lacking real substance, to be honest. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and a respectable, finely tuned black cherry and black olive-tinged finish. If only the aromatics were better! No known US importer.
