The 2009 Nuits St. Georges La Richemone Ultra bursts onto the palate with an exciting array of black fruit, tar, smoke and licorice. Voluptuous fruit and considerable energy come together beautifully in this deep, resonant Nuits. Here, too, the wine’s energy is utterly compelling. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029. I was deeply impressed with Christophe Perrot-Minot’s 2009s. The wines are rich and powerful in the Perrot-Minot style, yet also shine with tons of energy.
