The 2008 Great Western Bin 1 Shiraz has a great intensity of primary aromas giving notes of macerated blackberries and cherries, cinnamon, anise, nutmeg and Szechuan pepper plus a hint of melted chocolate. The full bodied palate is seriously spicy with crisp acidity and a medium to firm level of finely grained tannins. The finish is long. Approachable now, this wine would benefit from at least a year in bottle and should drink for another ten. No known USA importer.
