The 2009 Fastaia is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 10% Petit Vertot that spent 18 months in cement prior to being bottled. Bold, racy fruit finds a counterpoint in the firm yet well-integrated tannins as the wine opens up in the glass. A blast of dark fruit, herbs, smoke and licorice adds nuance on the finish.
