The 2015 Malvasía is in reality produced with Malvasía Riojana grapes, a variety known as Alarije in Extremadura and Subirat Parent in Penedès, not as aromatic as other Malvasías. Having said that, the wine is more aromatic than the other whites and the nose is full of white flowers. This is the first varietal white that Abel started working with and he thinks it's the most elegant of the whites. The grape is a variety that does not like rain in September and in years like 2015 when it's picked healthy, it behaves better. Malvasía and Torrontés, perhaps because they have large grapes, are the most sensitive grapes to late rain and they have a tendency to develop botrytis. It has a silky, subtle palate with an elegant, caressing finish. 1,743 bottles produced.
