The 2014 Crianza usually has 7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Merlot to complement the majority of Tempranillo, and ages in 50/50 French and American oak barrels for 16 months. This is always quite oaky, faithful to the house style. There are some balsamic aromas redolent of cigar ash and incense. The palate is intensely oaky, with toasted flavors and a dry finish. Volumes are also on the way up, reaching 630,000 bottles, fractioned into 2,500 bottle lots.
