The 2006 Merlot Ros di Rol is also fabulous. It is a more understated wine than the Quantum L’Auctoctono, but equally convincing. Red berries, flowers, tobacco, sweet herbs and cedar run through this deceptively medium-bodied wine. The finish is delicate, nuanced and totally classy. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2021.
