I have been following Jean Leon's Cabernet Sauvignons for over twenty years, and the new vintages are far softer, and less massively extracted than those from the mid and late seventies (the 1974 I have cellared is still not ready for prime time-drinking). This 1991 exhibits a medium ruby color with some lightening at the edge. The wine reveals a sweet, cedary, and cassis-scented nose, soft, open-knit, tobacco and curranty flavors, medium body, light tannin, and a round finish. Drink it over the next 3-4 years.Importer: Paterno Imports, Lake Bluff, IL; tel. (847) 604-8900
