Thirty percent of the 2006 Chardonnay was barrel-fermented in new French oak where it remained for 100 days with daily batonnage. Medium straw-colored with green highlights, it exhibits an attractive bouquet of mineral, baked apple, white peach, and a hint of tropical fruits lurking in the shadows. Medium-bodied and elegant, even slightly austere on the palate, there are tasty citrus and tropical flavors, vibrant acidity, and a moderately long finish. Drink it over the next 1-2 years.
