The 2004 Pinot Noir McCrone Vineyard sports a terrific nose of jammy black cherries and syrupy blackberries. Medium-bodied and boisterous, it coats the taster’s palate with loads of cassis liqueur, black raspberry, blackberry, and dark cherry flavors. Were it not for a slight note of dryness in the tannin this fine effort would have earned an even more exalted review. Projected maturity: 2007-2012.
