I have been impressed by the wines that emerge from this tiny winery that produces microscopic quantities of high class Zinfandel from a vineyard near Rutherford. Their 1990 displays a deep, saturated, dark ruby/purple color, a restrained but promising bouquet of cassis, spicy oak, herbs, and earth. In the mouth, there is wonderful purity of flavor, a medium to full-bodied texture, and a long, crisp, moderately tannic finish. Approachable now, this wine should blossom in 1-2 years and last for up to a decade.
