Thankfully, the Flora Springs' 1993 is much more promising than the type of wine this winery was producing during the eighties. The 1985 Trilogy is all wood, acidity, alcohol, and tannin. There is barely any fruit remaining (there wasn't much even from barrel). After ten years of aging, this is an attenuated, tart, politically correct, insipid, charmless wine - in short, a monument to the excesses of modern day oenology.
