Confirming its excellent showing from barrel, the 2016 Pouilly-Fuissé La Roche is one wine that's reminiscent of the 2014 rendition, as the wine is a lot more taut and energetic than the attractive but decidedly gourmand 2015 version. Aromas of confit citrus, petrol and an attractive smoky top note precede a full-bodied, elegantly glossy wine that is balanced by racy acids and concludes with a bright, beautifully delineated finish.
