The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny Village comes from two blocks (Aux Echanges and Les Chardins), and was raised in 20% new oak. It has a potent, perfumed bouquet with chalk-tinged red berry fruit, the whole bunch component (50%) lending subtle undergrowth notes. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin that render this a slightly more masculine Chambolle Village. It is a more powerful style of wine, although it retains satisfying balance and precision towards the finish. Give this a couple of years in bottle.
