The opaque plum-colored 1995 Tudela del Duero displays a moderately intense nose of fruitcake, cedar, black fruits, and earth. In the mouth, the wine is sweet, round, and rich, with copious amounts of glycerin, medium body, and spicy new oak. Although obvious, it is attractive and mouthfilling in a savory fashion, and should drink well for 7-10 years. This wine, a blend of primarily Tempranillo and old vine Grenache, is produced just outside the Ribera del Duero region.
