The 2006 Covenant Shiraz was aged in French and American oak, 30% new. Five percent Viognier was co-fermented with the Shiraz. Saturated purple in color, it exhibits an alluring bouquet of pain grille, violets, truffle, espresso, and blueberry. Intense and rich on the palate, this layered, nearly opulent Shiraz has gobs of spicy, savory blue fruits, excellent concentration, and several years of aging potential. This pleasure-bent wine will be in its prime from 2011 to 2021. Kilikanoon’s portfolio includes a number of notable values that are listed at the conclusion of this report.
