2016 was a fresher year than 2015, and so the 2016 Ferrer-Bobet is also fresher than the 2015, with a little less alcohol and more acidity. The blend changed a bit—there is less Syrah and Cabernet (a constant in the last few years)—to 60% Cari?ena, 25% Garnacha, 10% Syrah and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. It has a beautiful nose of fresh fruit, with cherries and a peachy quality, very subtle oak and spices. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins and vibrant acidity. 22,475 bottles and 500 magnums produced. It was bottled in March 2018.
