Produced from vines located in the upper reaches of the Meursault Poruzots vineyard, Bouchard's 1998 exhibits smoky yellow fruit aromas. This medium to full-bodied, deep, broad-shouldered wine has layers of creamy peach and poached pear flavors. Its forward personality and long, butterscotch-flavored finish suggest that it should be consumed earlier rather than later. Anticipated maturity: now-2003.
