An unusual sweet wine produced with Pinot Noir grapes, the 2011 Gra a Gra, a late harvest, grain selection was picked at 24% potential alcohol then fermented to 13% alcohol leaving 150 grams of residual sugar in the wine. It fermented slow (six weeks) in an oak vat after a cold soak after which the wine matured in oak barrels for seven months. The nose shows some cooked cherries in liqueur and something sweet. The palate is dense and quite sweet, with candied fruit flavors and some cherries in liqueur again. An unusual sweet red. 3,000 bottles produced.
