The 1990 Zinfandel is significantly richer and more interesting than the 1989. It reveals an excellent nose of peppery, berry fruit, ripe, medium to full-bodied flavors, good density, and soft tannins in the smooth finish. Drink it over the next 4-5 years. Long in the qualitative doldrums, this winery appears to have benefitted from considerable infusion of capital by its new owners. Tel. 707-433-8281.
