The Les Longeroies ’09 has an initially taciturn bouquet, broody and bides its time, though with aeration it reveals attractive briary and black currant scent that is crisp and perhaps slightly rustic. The palate has a firm structure, the tannins framing crisp cranberry and red currant fruit with a pleasant gritty, albeit short, finish. Fine. Tasted March 2013.

A rich, sappy red, boasting black cherry, currant and earth flavors. This has bright acidity and dusty tannins, with a fruity profile and moderate length. Best from 2014 through 2020. 28 cases imported. –BS
