The 2012 Altosur Malbec has a clean pure bouquet of black currant, raspberry, licorice and vanilla scents. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy, ripe tannins. There is plenty of red berry fruit as well as good weight on the brambly red fruit finish. This is well-made and should age nicely over one or two years. Drink now-2016.
