The 2006 Nero d’Avola is a fresh, perfumed wine with an attractive core of ripe red fruit, an accessible personality and some of the wilder notes that are typical of this grape. It is best drunk within the next year or two while the fruit is still vibrant. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2010. Brothers Alberto and Diego Cusumano make a variety of wines from their holdings across the island. The highlights in this range tend to be the reds.Importer: Vin Divino, Ltd., Chicago, IL; tel.
