Tasted at the Comte Liger-Belair vertical at the Chateau de Vosne. The 2003 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Reignots has a not dissimilar nose to the 2002 with scents of mulberry, autumn leaves and a touch of potpourri. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe, chewy tannin, although I find the oak a little oppressive toward the finish. The acidity is commendable for a 2003 and the length on the aftertaste is impressive. This almost touches the La Romanée '03 in terms of quality, but there are far better subsequent vintages. Tasted June 2015.
