A tasty wine from this backwater appellation for shrewd and savvy wine bargain hunters, it is deep ruby to the rim with a moderately intense bouquet of red and black fruits intermixed with earth, spice, and a bit of roasted herbs. The wine is soft, silky, medium-bodied, very pure and well-balanced. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.

A clean, balanced red, with blackberry and vanilla aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied, with soft tannins and a medium finish. A bit austere now. Best after 2009. 10,000 cases made.
