The light medium ruby-colored 1999 Grenache Hudson Vineyard offers peppery, sweet kirsch liqueur aromas, ripe flavors, and medium body. It lacks depth, expansiveness, and length, but the flavors are spot on. This wine just needs a bit more intensity and flesh in order to compete with the better Grenache-based offerings of France's southern Rhone Valley.
