The 2002 El Castro de Valtuille exhibits a dark ruby color along with a straightforward bouquet of red and black fruits, crushed rocks, and earth. The tannin is slightly dry and severe in this medium-bodied, pure effort. While interesting, it is neither as generous nor as textured as its sibling. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
