Belle produces very fine white wines, including the gorgeous 2006 Crozes-Hermitage blanc, a blend of 70% Marsanne and 30% Roussanne. Crisp quince and honeyed citrus notes dominate this medium-bodied, richly fruity, nicely concentrated and textured effort that comes from the estate's granite sites in Larnage. Drink it over the next 2-3 years. Intelligently made, fresh, lively, concentrated wines emerge from the Domaine Belle, a modestly-sized Crozes-Hermitage estate that remains under the radar of most consumers. A Crozes-Hermitage cuvee from the granite soils of Larnage has recently been added to the portfolio.Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC; tel. (202) 832-9083
