The 2014 Torre de Golbán Reserva has grapes from San Esteban de Gormaz and villages in Burgos in more or less equal parts. To be a reserva, it needs to spend a certain amount of time in oak barrels and in bottle; in this case, the wine spent 18 months in French barriques, 25% of them new, and a further 18 months in bottle before it was released. It's ripe, with 15% alcohol, and has moderate acidity. It's surprisingly more tannic than the 2015 and with less fruit. 10,000 bottles were filled in May 2017.
