Proprietor Clauzel, who is rebuilding the fortunes of near-by Chateau Beauregard, owns this tiny Pomerol vineyard. The 1993 Guillot-Clauzel is an impressive effort, offering a saturated dark ruby/purple color, evidence of new oak in the smoky, vanillin scents, and a rich, medium-bodied, concentrated, soft, velvety-textured personality. It should be delicious when released later this year, and age well for up to a decade.
