The 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley reveals complex aromatics of spice box, fruit cake, new oak, and dried herbs. Its frontal attack offers plenty of black currant fruit, licorice, olives, and Provencal herbs. Although it does not possess the size of previous vintages of the nineties, it is built along the lines of a good Bordeaux. Its deficiency is its short finish. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. Tel.
