The estate’s 2004 Barbaresco Erte is a fine effort. This mid-weight offering shows excellent concentration and depth in its dark red fruit, menthol, minerals, flowers and sweet herbs. Although there is good depth, a few green elements remain and the tannins come across as slightly coarse. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2022. Cigliuti is an estate that doesn’t seem to get much attention these days. To be sure, these are not flashy, obvious wines, yet for the most part they deliver plenty of enjoyment and pleasure.Importers: Indigenous Selection, Fort Lauderdale FL; tel.
