Juicy dark cherries, hard candy and sweet spices jump from the glass in Siduri’s 2011 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley. An up-front, fruit-driven Pinot, the 2011 is a highly representative example of Russian River Pinot. The style is a bit subdued by the cool year, but there is plenty to like here, first and foremost the wine’s sheer immediacy. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2016.
Proprietors Adam and Dianna Lee can be counted on for delicious, immediate wines that deliver immense pleasure. As is often the case, I am a big fan of the appellation wines in the Siduri lineup because of their sheer appeal and value.
