While this wine needs time in the bottle to shed some of its tannins, it has considerable potential. A deep purple color suggests excellent concentration, which is exactly what one finds in the mouth. Spicy, briery, black-berry and black-raspberry fruit exhibit superb ripeness, fine concentration, and moderate tannins and acidity in the relatively long finish. I would recommend cellaring this wine for 1-2 years and then enjoy it over the next decade. Tel. 805-238-9607.
