This unfiltered 1990 (a great year for Bandol) was made from two-third Mourvedre and one-third Grenache, from yields of two tons per acre. It has 13.4% natural alcohol. It is a classic example of the Mourvedre grape with its intense fragrance of tree bark, mushrooms, and cassis. Long, rich, and spicy, with full body, great flavor extraction, as well as plenty of structure and grip, this wine should be cellared for 4-5 years and drunk over the following 20. Very impressive!I first met Monsieur Bronzo over a decade ago. At that time he impressed me because of his vision of quality for this picture postcard appellation.Importer: Weygandt-Metzler, Unionville, PA.
