The 2006 Pinot Noir Stoller Vineyard is more deeply colored and offers up darker fruits. The nose reveals cedar, spice box, black cherry, and black raspberry leading to a wine with a bit more structure than the preceding efforts. There are layers of ripe, savory fruit and a long, pure finish. It will evolve for 2-3 years and drink well from 2010 to 2018.
Chehalem Winery produces a bevy of white wines that should not be overlooked by consumers, particularly in the 2007 vintage. The vibrant natural acidity gives the wines an extra lift especially for Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Riesling.
