The elegant 2009 Amarone della Valpolicella is sourced from fruit that grows some 450 meters above sea level. The quality of the aromas are bright and well delineated around cassis, plum and black currant. Harvested fruit sees two months of appassimento and the wine is aged in different sized oak casks. That workmanship has helped to produce lingering tones of spice, leather and candied licorice.

A savory and herbal version, offering plenty of juicy dried cherry and currant flavors, with woodsy spice, black licorice, hoisin and mineral notes.
