From a higher altitude terroir, the 2003 Cote de Brouilly performed significantly better than its Brouilly counterparts. Aromatically, this wine explodes from the glass with fresh, sweet red cherries. Well-structured, harmonious, and light to medium-bodied, it reveals loads of expressive black cherry flavors in its expressive character. This wine has the requisite qualities for near to moderate-term cellaring. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. Importer: William Deutsch and Sons, White Plains, NY; tel.
