The 2009 Chardonnay gives a moderate intensity of apple tart and poached pear aromas over peach kernels and meal. Crisp and concentrated on the medium bodied palate, it offers plenty of toasty stone fruit flavor and a long savory finish. Drinking now, it should cellar nicely to 2016+. Established in 1993, Muddy Water has some of the oldest Pinot vines in the area. Danny Schuster planted vines in 1989. The estate has just been purchased by Greystone.
