The 2004 Avatar is a blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Mataro, and 10% Shiraz that spent 16 months in old French and American oak. It is less aromatic than the Joshua, but bigger and deeper in the mouth as well as more monolithic. Another 6-12 months of bottle age should be beneficial.
