The La Meseta, a blend of 50% Shiraz (that is what they call it) and 50% Tempranillo, is aged for 6 months in new French oak. Dark ruby-colored, it offers a slightly muted nose of vanilla, spice box, toast, blueberry, and blackberry liqueur. Supple and ripe on the palate, it lacks the depth and complexity to merit an outstanding rating.
