The outstanding, inky/purple-colored 1999 Tirant boasts a super-intense aromatic profile of black fruits, minerals, and toast. It possesses super fruit, a terrific texture, and a formidable, full-bodied, pure style with a moderately tannic finish. Produced from 90-100 year old Grenache (30%), Cabernet Sauvignon (25%), Carignan (25%), Syrah (10%), and Merlot (10%), it spent 12 months in 100% new French oak before being bottled unfiltered. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2016.
