The regular 2013 Clos d'Agon Tinto shows a similar profile of generous oak in the shape of sweet spices, smoke and incense over a core of balsamic and berry notes. The blend is 50% Cabernet Franc, 29% Syrah, 11% Petit Verdot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and the élevage was, as in other reds, 17 months in 40% new French oak barrels. The multi-grape blend and the high percentage of new oak give it a slightly international profile. But in its style, it's nicely crafted and shows good balance. 20,000 bottles.
