The 2009 Azagador Crianza is the flagship brand of the estate and spends around ten months in 80% American and 20% French oak barrel. The nose is clean, with strawberry, raspberry and leather aromas. The palate is simple and straightforward with crisp acidity, moving towards a soft, slightly earthy, tart finish. It is an uncomplicated, easy-drinking Crianza that is perfectly satisfying at this price. Drink now.
Pago de la Jaraba have been commercializing wine since the 2001 vintage from around 85hectares of mainly Tempranillo (with no out-sourced fruit) located between Villarrobledo and El Provencio. They are not part of the DO Pago, even though they had registered the name before its introduction; however, they are in the process of applying.
