The 2011 Blanco de Blancos is a blend of 61% Godello, 21% Albarino, 10% Dona Branca and 8% Treixadura from the subzones of Abeleda, Quiroga, Ferreira de Panton and Trives, with partial fermentation in 500-liter oak barrels. It has a neutral bouquet with white pressed flowers and a faint touch of apple blossom. The palate is effervescent on the entry with freshly sliced pear and nectarine, crisp acidity and a slightly reduced but well-balanced finish that offers sour lemon and greengage. The grape varieties work well together.Very fine. Drink now-2015.
Adega Ponte da Boga is situated in Terra de Caldelas along the River Sil and the focus here is mainly upon red Mencia grapes. This appears to be a strong, reliable portfolio of wines.
