Eva Fricke sourced her 2013 Rheingau Riesling trocken from vineyards in Lorch, Walluf and Kiedrich. The medium-bodied wine is very clear, fresh and piquant on nose and palate, a typical Rheingau Riesling bringing together characters from the most significant soil types (quartzite, loess, loam). With 8.9 grams per liter of residual sugar this pure, mineral and linear Riesling is on the edge of trocken Riesling and with just 11.5% of alcohol it is also very delectable. A lovely wine.
